Report on Guest Lecture

A guest lecture on the topic “Preparation for Professional Examinations” was organized by the Department of Accounting and Taxation on 6th September, 2011 in the AV Hall at The IIS University Jaipur. The lecture was delivered by CA Pramod Kumar Boob, who, besides having brilliant academic career, is also associated with the nobel profession of Chartered Accountancy. Mr. Boob shared his experience about how he pursued the professional degree of CA and scored All India Ranks at both Intermediate and Final stages. He motivated the students to strive for success through perseverance, dedication, determination and hard work. A strategically planned time schedule of seven months was given to students following which they can score ranks in these professional examinations. Also the last moment preparations before the examinations, the revision course and other useful tips were shared with the students. He explained the importance of time management and self discipline. Students gained valuable information and some important tips which will definitely help them achieve success in their examinations. Mr. Pramod quoted live examples from day to day life which made the session interactive and enjoyable. At the end, students asked questions which were satisfactorily answered by Mr. Pramod Kumar.
