Accounting and Taxation

The Department of Accounting and Taxation was established in the year 1995. Along with graduation and post graduation courses in Accounting and Taxation, the department also offers M.Phil. and Ph.D. The department boasts of a unique course [B.Com (Honours) Professional] especially designed for the students aspiring to become CA or CS wherein the curriculum and academic calendar is structured accordingly.

The Department of Accounting and Taxation aims to provide excellence in accounting and tax education by offering programs that will prepare students to assume roles as accounting and taxation professionals in a global society. To this end, the Department offers a choice of educational programs leading to specializations in public accounting, controllership, or taxation. Our curricula, delivered in a student friendly environment, provide innovative and high-quality educational experiences that emphasize technical knowledge, analytical and communication skills, proficiency, and ethics.  In addition to their course work, accounting students have the opportunity to engage in real-world financial research and analysis. Our programs are strengthened both by the contributions made by our industry partners and the ethical philosophy of the University. Currently the department is running with 825 students and 14 Faculty members.
