Overview


The department of Accounting and Taxation was established in the year 1995. Along with graduation and post-graduation courses in Accounting and Taxation, the department also offers Ph.D and D.Litt. The department boasts of some unique courses i.e. B.Com Honours (Professional) especially designed for the students aspiring to become CA or CS wherein the curriculum and academic calendar is structured accordingly.

In partnership with ACCA, a global body for professional accountants, the department offers B. Com(H) in Applied Accounting and Finance. The dual advantage of the programme is that, besides being a full-fledged degree course, it also prepares the students for ACCA qualification.

The department also offers US CMA as two-year parallel programme through regular preparatory classes in collaboration with International Skill Development Corporation (ISDC).

The Department of Accounting and Taxation aims to provide excellence in accounting and tax education by offering programs that will prepare students to fetch roles as accounting and taxation professionals in the global society. To this end, the Department offers a choice of educational programs leading to specializations in accounting, taxation., auditing and finance. Our curricula, delivered in a student friendly environment, provide innovative and high-quality educational experiences that emphasize technical knowledge, analytical and communication skills, proficiency and ethics.  In addition, students have the opportunity to engage in real-world financial research and analysis. Our programs are strengthened both by the contributions made by our industry partners and the ethical philosophy of the University.
