Workshop on “GST : An online challenge”
Keepingstudents in touch with practical aspects of learning, the Department of Accounting and Taxation, IIS (Deemed to be University), organised a workshop on“GST : An Online Challenge”. It was an hour long online workshop started at 1:45 pm, on 19th June, 2021.The resource person for the workshop was CA Shruti Sharma,anexperienced Charted Account, working in a renowned firm based in Jaipur.
Session began with the welcome and introduction of our guest, by Dr. Vaishali Agrawal.It was followed by an explanatorytutorial on using the online portal of GST. The students step by step learned, how to get registered on the GST Portal. Moreover, CA Shruti Sharma, explained how to file returns,get input tax credit, and other details. Further, she alsotaught how to look at our profiles on the portal.
The workshop ended with a formal vote of thanks, by Dr. Vaishali Agrawal.
The students found it very interesting and practical, and were grateful for this opportunity. The workshop would help them to link what they learned in textbooks to real world.
