Objective of the Webinar:Creating awareness about significance of pursuing a global qualification with specific reference to ACCA

Summary

Having a qualification that is globally recognised is the key to gaining an edge over the other and making a place for yourself. But with so many national accreditation systems and specialisations to choose from, it can be difficult to determine which qualification is most likely to get you to where you want to be. Keeping this in mind, a webinar was jointly organized by IIS University, ACCA and ISDC, to throw light on significance of pursuing a global qualification.

The webinar began with welcome of all the panel members by Dr Mahima Rai, Coordinator of the ACCA programme . The panelist were:

  • Mr. Vikas Khosla (Zonal Head ISDC)
  • Mr. Anurag Rana (Business Relationship Manager ACCA)
  • Mr. Shone Babu (Head of Partnerships ISDC) 
  • Mr. Krishan Mishra (Head of North & East India ACCA)   

First of all, Mr. Shone Babu (Head of Partnerships ISDC) spoke about “Changing landscapes and the need for a Professional Qualification”. Next, Mr. Krishan Mishra (Head of North & East India ACCA) informed the participants about “ACCA as a Professional Body”. Krishan Mishra is responsible for ACCA's business development in the North & East India Markets, working closely with the Large Enterprises and Education providers in the regions.Recently, he has been awarded as top 100 Global Leaders in the field of education by Global Forum of Education and Learning, Prism Inc. , USA. He has got over 17+ years of extensive experience in Business Development, experience of Managing education Business, Channel Partners, Corporate and Direct Sales Teams. Mr Mishra was followed by Mr. Vikas Khosla (Zonal Head ISDC), shared a presentation on “Relevance of ACCA as a Qualification”. Mr Vikas Khosla, with overall Experience of 13 years has worked with Some of the prestigious Companies like American Express, Educomp Solutions, Miles Education and Currently associated with International Skill Development Corporation. The last speaker was Mr. Anurag Rana (Business Relationship Manager ACCA), who spoke about “Why pursue ACCA?” and “Roadmap to ACCA membership”. Anurag Rana is Responsible for ACCA's business development in the North India Market, working closely with the Large Enterprises and Education providers in the regions.Mr Rana and Mr. Krishan Mishra also spoke about “Employment and Job Opportunities for ACCA”.

In the end, Dr Mahima Rai, shared a brief presentation, highlighting the achievements of students of our University in the ACCA exams and placements. Questions were taken up after this and were satisfactorily answered by all the panel members

 

Outcome of the activity:Increase in awareness about ACCA programme offered by IIS University among the participants and increase in queries for admission to this programme.
