The Department of Commerce, at the IIS (deemed to be University) organized an orientation session for the first year students of B.Com (Hons/Pass Course & Professional) and M.Com. The session was held at Ojas Hall on 7 September 2022 from 10:30 a.m onwards. It was initiated by Dr. Aditi Jain- Add. Head, Department of Business Studies. She acquainted the freshers with the courses and programmes offered by the department at the UG, PG, COSD and research levels.
The students were then introduced to the faculty members of the department and familiarised with the location of their classrooms. The freshers paid rapt attention and were inquisitive to know about the various training programmes, industrial visits and the rich & vast alumnae network.
The Head of Library, then acquainted students about the IISU Central Library. She made the freshers conversant with the various resources, the library offers from IISU Digital Library to NDL and other library memberships.
The session was concluded by the students enthusiastically participating in the fun activities organised by the faculty members and senior students. The fresher’s were also excited on winning prizes of the fun activities.
