Objective of the Webinar: Creating awareness about significance of pursuing a job oriented global qualification with specific reference to ACCA
Summary
Today, the global job market is changing at an alarming rate and so Global education has become a necessity for the 21st century learner. Keeping this in mind, a webinar was organized by IIS University in association with ACCA and ISDC, to throw light on significance of pursuing a job oriented global qualification along with graduation.
The webinar began with welcome of all the panel members by CS Surabhi Ajmera ,Deptt of Accounting & Taxation . The panelists were:
• Mr. Prabhanshu Mittal (Senior Business Relationship Manager ACCA)
• Mr. Vikas Khosla (Zonal Head ISDC), vikas.khosla@isdcglobal.org
• Ms Ritu Murjhani (Alumna Batch 2015-18 ), Lead Assurance Associate, EY
First of all, Mr. Vikas Khosla (Zonal Head ISDC), shared a presentation on “Relevance of ACCA as a Qualification”. Mr Vikas Khosla, with overall Experience of 13 years has worked with Some of the prestigious Companies like American Express, Educomp Solutions, Miles Education and Currently associated with International Skill Development Corporation. He was followed by Mr. Prabhanshu Mittal (Senior Business Relationship Manager ACCA) who informed the participants about “ACCA as a Professional Body”. He also threw light on employment and job opportunities for an ACCA.

Further, Dr Mahima Rai, shared a brief presentation, highlighting the advantages of pursuing ACCA programme from the IIS University. She also shared achievements of students of our University in the ACCA exams and their impressive placements. In the end, Ritu Murjhani was invited to share her journey from IIS to EY. Ritu is our Alumna of batch 2015-18 of the ACCA programme. She completed her graduation in B.Com H Applied Accounting and Finance in 2018 and is presently working as Audit Assurance Senior in Earnst & Young, Gurgaon.
Questions were taken up after this and were satisfactorily answered by all the panel members

Outcome of the activity: Increase in awareness about ACCA programme offered by IIS University among the participants and increase in queries for admission to this programme.
