Objective: 

Course Objectives:

This course will enable the students to impart expert knowledge on the laws governing the Intellectual Property Rights, various organisations actively involved in Intellectual Property Rights related matters and their role in upholding the interests of the stakeholders by preventing infringement of intellectual property laws and other critical facets.

(Theory)

CO 1:Explore the concept of IPR, its types and various International Institutions.

CO 2:Determine the significance of practice and procedures of Patents.

CO 3:Develop a comprehensive understanding regarding the procedure of obtaining Trademarks, Copyright and Industrial Designs.

CO 4:Formulate an understanding about the statutory provisions in relation to Geographical indications and integrated Circuit Designs.

CO 5:Familiarization with the concept of law relating to Biological Diversity and Protection of Plant Varieties and developing a critical thinking in formation of Business Concerns in Commercializing of IPR.
