A one day workshop on GST was organized by the Department of Accounting and taxation in technical collaboration with Jaipur Branch of CIRC of The institute of Chartered Accountants of India. The program began with the inaugural session. CA Akshay Jain, the keynote speaker was welcomed and he delivered a presentation on fundamentals of GST. According to him there is a big difference between the dream GST and Actual GST. He also made students familiar with the basic concepts like registration, composition scheme, tax structure and benefits of GST. The session proceeded after break where the guest of honour CA Abhisekh Sharma and CA Sanjay Kumar Maheshwari gave certain tips on how to become successful in life and academics. CA Abhisekh Sharma shared his experiences of life and enlightened with motivational poetry written by him. CA Sanjay maheshwari guided students on how to focus on priorities rather than on materialistic things. The session then proceeded with gaming activity where certain questions related to presentation on GST were asked from students by CA Akshay Jain. The Students who answered were awarded with prizes. The program was a success and highly appreciated by the participants and faculties.
