CO2:     Create basic accounting vouchers, journal entries &  examine the procedure of maintaining balances of accounts.

CO3: Develop system for inventory management using Tally.

CO4: Adapt the concept of presentation of financial statements in day book and final accounts through excel

CO5: Take part in  applications of MS Access, preparation of tax invoices, GST Registration process & E way bills

Introduction to Tally software and Accounting Master management:
  • Introduction to tally- Functional Features & Technological Advantages of Tally Software, Creation/ Display/ Alteration/ Deletion of a Company.
  • Tally Software Screen Components, Mouse/ Keyboard Conventions, switching between Screen Areas, Quitting Tally Software.
  • Pre-defined Groups of Ledger Accounts, Pre-defined Ledger Accounts.
  • Creation/ Display/ Alteration/ Deletion of Accounting Master; i.e., Ledger Accounts and Groups in Tally Software, List/ Chart of Accounts.

Basic Accounting Vouchers and their management, journalizing:
  • Basic Accounting Voucher Types, Creation/ Display/ Alteration/ Deletion of Accounting Vouchers (Journal Entries),
  • Journalizing Compound Journal Entries in Tally Software, Creation/ Display/ Alteration/ Deletion of Accounting Voucher in Single Entry Mode/ Invoice Mode.
  • Maintaining Balances Bill-by-Bill of the Accounts of Debtors & Creditors and Mentioning Opening Balance during Ledger Creation.

Inventory management in tally:
  • Creation/ Display/ Alteration/ Deletion of a Company for Inventory Accounting, Concepts of Stock Groups, Stock Categories, Godowns/ Locations,
  • Units of Measure and Stock Items,
  • Purchase & Sales Transactions & Invoicing, Debit note & Credit note
  • Use of Stock Journal for Stock Transfer, Display of Stock Summary (Stock Register), Inventory Books and Statement of Inventory, Use of F2 (Date/ Period) and F12 (Configure) during Display of Inventory Reports.

Advanced Excel for Accounting and Financial Analysis:

·        Accounting in Excel- Financial Report Generation through Excel, Financial Statement Analysis / Ratio Analysis Vertical Analysis or Common Size Statements using Excel, Horizontal Analysis & Trend

Analysis using Excel Application of MS-Excel in accounting- Basic functions, Mathematical and statistical Functions, logical functions, Date & Time functions, Financial Functions, what if analysis, Plotting of Graphs & Descriptive Statistics

Data Management using MS Access and GST compliance:
  • ·        Data management using MS-ACESS (creating tables, forms,                   queries and reports), importing and exporting data.
  • ·        Preparation of tax invoices, debit note and credit note

  • ·        Process of payment of GST
  •         E-way bill procedures
